Recording
Working either in a studio or on location, we can record in whatever way works best for you. I can work out of Pro Tools and Logic, I will most likely use Pro Tools unless asked otherwise.
While there are a lot of great options for recording in the studio, I’ve always found that capturing as much live as possible can really bring out something special in the music.
There’s a raw energy that comes from playing together in real-time—it can be harder to replicate in a more isolated, overdubbed setting. Of course, it all depends on the vibe you’re going for, but recording live can keep that organic, spontaneous feel, and can often save time in the long run. That said, it’s definitely not the only way to go—sometimes piecing things together track by track can give you more control over the details. It’s really about what fits the project and the sound you’re aiming for.
Producing
Sometimes, it can be really intimidating producing music by yourself with no support. Sometimes, it’s handy to have someone support to help you find the finish line on your projects. Together, we can work towards creating music that embodies your vision. We can do this through pre-production, aiding you to create arrangements to take to session musicians which we can then record. This can be done through tab, sheet music/manuscript or audio file.
Mixing
After recording with me, or if you’ve recorded somewhere else or at home, we can then look at mixing your projects. This can be done online or we can have in person sessions looking at how you want to design and level your sound post-production. We can also look at whether we want to experiment with any reproducing/reamping of sounds, or creating reverbs from a space. Mastering is reccomended to go elsewhere.
